Thursday in the Park with Jeanne.
Forest Street
Schumacher Place resident Jeanne Tranter invited me to join her for the Schiller Park Thursday morning dog gathering. Every Thursday around 9:30 am numerous German Village area residents bring their dogs to the park to run around unleashed and play with each other.
Here is Jeanne's Blossom running to greet me when they arrived at the park.
From Jeanne
"I found Blossom at Columbus Pet Rescue and later had her DNA tested. She is purebred MUTT! But her two most dominant breeds are American Eskimo (which stems from the Spitz) and Labrador Retriever. The face and tail of the former; the coloring of the latter."

More from Jeanne
"Schiller Park is Blossom's favorite location. She loves her friends there and races with them through the baseball dirt.
Schiller Park is such an amazing place! It brings pups and people together and allows the dogs to be dogs - to run, leap and wrestle. Not all dogs can handle such freedom, but those that can truly treasure this unique neighborhood gem. Schiller Park rocks!"
