cuador is a country straddling the equator on South America’s west coast. Its diverse landscape encompasses the Amazon jungle, the Andean highlands and the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands. It is about the size of Colorado.

The photo was taken on a flight northbound from Loja to Quito. I always try to get a window seat on the east side of the plane in hope of seeing the Cotopaxi Volcano. Here it is at 19,347 feet, 2 days after the March 18th, 2023, 6.8 southern earthquake.
Ecuador is a wonderful country with many different environments. This was my 4th visit. The people are very nice. There are so many different types of plants that grow there. The markets are lush with a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and spices.
