manda and John recently spent six weeks in Southeast Asia, exploring Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Ten days of the journey included a food tour, ten days on their own enjoying beaches and traveling through central Vietnam, one night with a family that taught them a variety of regional cooking, and the finale of their trip - over two weeks on a National Geographic tour.

This is our first time having Bun Cha. A dish made famous in Anthony Bourdain’s show with Barack Obama. We didn’t go to the restaurant where they shot the show - it's now too touristy, the standards have dropped.
