Village Connections is an urban, community based non-profit organization that empowers members to lead an active and engaged lifestyle in their own homes as they age. By providing a network of high quality volunteers and resources for members’ evolving needs, this grass roots organization offers information and referrals to cost effective services and activities designed to enhance members’ health and wellness, support their social, educational, and cultural interests, and foster member to member volunteer support.

VOLUNTEER
Village Connection volunteers are priceless! They are the glue that holds Village Connections together and a crucial resource for helping our older neighbors stay active and independent. If you are a new retiree looking for a rewarding opportunity, or college students or neighbor with just a little bit of extra time to give, or maybe you have a particular expertise you wish to share ... then consider joining our volunteer ranks. After exploring the possibilities, we will most certainly find an opportunity that suits you:

- Driving to a medical or non-medical appointment
- Grocery or other shopping
- Driving members to social events
- Moving furniture
- Gardening
- Yard Cleanup
- Changing light bulbs and batteries
- Computer, Tablet and Cell Phone assistance
- Cable/TV/Internet troubleshooting
- In-home visits to a home-bound members
- Running errands for a member
- Help with letter writing, watering plants, etc.
- Clerical office duties
- Plan a social event for our Services Committee
- Design a flyer for our Marketing Committee
- Help organize one of our Fundraisers

It’s easy to become a new Village Connections member. Membership options and fees are listed below. Request an application by emailing us or calling our office. Fill it out and send it to us or drop it off at our office. We look forward to welcoming you! Full Annual Membership Individual: $500 or $41.66/month 2-Person Household: $750 or $62.50/month Open to people aged 50 and over who live in German Village, Merion Village, Schumacher Place, Brewery District and Downtown Columbus south of Broad Street. See the areas we serve Includes complete access to volunteer services, access to vetted vendor list and participation in all social events. NEW MEMBERS: Send me an Application Social Membership Full Household: $125 Includes participation in all social events, no age or residency requirements, 100% tax deductible, helps sustain Village Connections by supporting operations and continuation of services. You will become a social member with any donation to Village Connections of $125 or more: Donate Here Reduced-Fee Membership Village Connections offers a discounted membership fee to qualified people of low-to-moderate income.
