When the opportunity to join eight of my Bay Area (CA) friends for an April week in Maui, I responded "YES!". We stayed in the new tower at the recently renovated Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Lahaina. The picture above is from the hotel room balcony.
It was such a delight to start my day on the balcony with a tasty cup of coffee and breakfast bite, enjoying the smell and feel of the soft ocean breeze and visits by birds that landed on the railing.

The ocean and beach were several steps away from the hotel. The water temperature perfect.
We had fun watching turtles swimming close to the edge of the beach.
Every evening we enjoyed dinner with seaside sunsets.
Lots of fun seafood presentations!
Here is almost all of us. Martha, Liz, Marlene, Cindy, Helga, Rachel, me and Kim. We are missing Andrea.
Live music afterward.
Some of us rented out a catamaran charter on one of the
days to go snorkeling and sunbathe.

We had a delicious breakfast with beautiful water views at the Sea House Restaurant in Lahaina and afterward hung out at Napili Bay Beach which is next to the venue.
Napili Bay Beach.
We wandered across the beach in search of a Tiki Bar we heard about from the woman that owned the catamaran business. A "must do" according to her when in the area.
A sign we were headed in the right direction.
We succeeded in finding the Tiki Bar in Kitchen 5315 where we had the infamous $1 Mimosa.
Rachel and I agree the best fish taco's were at Lalaini's on the Beach

If you are looking for the best Mai Tai in Lahaina, I suggest
going to
Hula Grill in Whalers Village.

Just seated at the Luau in Lahaina.
Because of Covid we received table side service vs. the normal buffet, which according to my more seasoned luau friends is a desirable upgrade.
Alas, the trip had to end. Goodbye and thank you paradise!
