ileen and Clay Culpepper moved to German Village from Houston, Texas last summer with their two Golden Retrievers, Cooper (4 years old) and his nephew Murphy (2 years old). They wanted a walkable neighborhood with historical charm, plenty of restaurants and shops and of course a great park, Schiller Park, for doggy fun.
Both came from Wahkeen Kennel in Houston, Texas.
Cooper loves playing with stuffed animals and Murphy goes crazy for tennis balls, he can be found chasing them in Schiller park in the mornings.
They love to play with their dog friends at Schiller Park, go hiking, swimming, and bird hunting. But their favorite thing is to snuggle on the couch with mom and dad.
Cooper can tell when people are upset and will chase and catch his tail to cheer them up. Murphy likes to play hide-and-seek with his toys.
They provide companionship and are always happy to see you. Especially over the last couple of years it has been great to have adventure buddies that are always up for anything. They just make you happy.

They share the zoo with 2 cats (Callie and Nala) who tolerate their presence.
