GO: Central Park
The Dancing Maidens by German Sculptor Walter Schott 1910 at the Untermyer Fountain in the French Conservatory Garden
pring in Central Park is always an exhilarating adventure! I met my Connecticut friend, Janet, at the Conservatory Gate to begin our floral stroll. The gate is located at 5th Avenue and 105th Street. It was commissioned by Cornelius Vanderbilt II from Paris and is wrought iron. It originally adorned Vanderbilt's mansion on the corner of 5th Avenue and 58th Street, the current location of Bergdorf Goodman.
Central Park Conservatory
The Conservatory Garden consists of three European gardens that were created in 1935 by NYC Parks Commissioner, Robert Moses. The grounds encompass six acres between 104th and 106th Streets. Before the gardens were curated there was a glass conservatory built in the late 1800s.

Strolling down the park
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir
I used to have an apartment on West 90th Strret, next to the twin towers in this photo. Great memories. I loved walking a third of a block and being in Central Park!

Jazz at Central Park
Nothing like bumping into a jazz concert in Central Park.
We were close to Madison Avenue and successfully crashed Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle. Pictured is a bunny favorite thanks to Ludwig Bemelmans artistic efforts in 1947.
